LTV The Latvian broadcaster, kicked off tonight its journey to Eurovision 2023 with the semi-final of “Supernova 2023“.

“Supernova 2023” began with 15 acts but unfortunately Saule entry was disqualified for violating the contest’s rules.
On tonight’s show hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks, the remaining 14 acts performed their songs in the running order as follows:

- Artūrs Hatti – “Love Vibes”
- Alise Haijima – “Tricky”
- Inspo – “Sway”
- Toms Kalderauskis – “When It All Falls”
- Katrine Miller – “Beaten Down”
- Justs – “Stranger”
- Adriana Miglāne – “Like I Wanna”
- 24. Avēnija – “You Said”
- Markus Riva – “Forever”
- Avéi – “Let Me Go”
- Patrisha – “Hush”
- Raum – “Fake Love”
- Luīze – “You To Hold Me”
- Sudden Lights – “Aijā”

The results were based on a 50% public vote and a 50% jury vote.

However, the 10 qualifiers are:

Last year in Turin, Raised the Latvian flag were the group Citi Zēni and their “Eat Your Salad”. The band did not make it to the grand final and collected only 55 points that ranked them in 14th in the first semi-final.
Latvia will compete in the first half of semi-final 1 at Eurovision 2023
