Every year, Sweden have chosen an artist and a song via their traditional musical show “Melodifestivalen”.
Swedish broadcaster SVT arranged 6 shows, travelling around 6 cities in Sweden: Gothenburg, Linköping, Lidköping, Malmö, Örnsköldsvik, and Stockholm
The grand final was held at the Friends Arena, Stockholm, with a capacity of 50,000 seats.
The 6 shows were hosted by Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl:

12 artists will compete in the final of “Melodifestivalen 2023“.
8 of them took a direct path from the heats to the final, while an additional 4 qualified from semi-final (the second chance).
They performed in the following running order:

Results
The results were determined by a 50% public vote and a 50% international jury.
International Jury
The international jury included 40 experts from 8 countries: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Latvia, Malta and Spain. Each jury panel granted a set of 1-8 points, 10, 12 points:

Loreen was in the lead of the international jury, followed by Marcus & Martinus (2nd place) and Paul Rey (3rd place)
Public Vote
The public vote was divided and aggregated by the age groups: televoters, 3 – 9 years old, 10 –15, 16 – 29, 30 – 44, 45 – 59, 60 – 74, and 75+.
Each group will grant a set of 1-8, 10,,12 points.

Therefore, Loreen is the winner of “Melodifestivalen 2023″!
The last time she participated in “Melodifestivalen” was in 2017, and back then she didn’t qualify for the final.
In 2012, she waved 2 trophies, both of the “Melodifestivalen 2012″ and of “Eurovision 2012”.
