Iceland: VÆB Will Perform “RÓA” at Eurovision 2025

Iceland has selected its Eurovision 2025 artist and song via the “Söngvakeppnin 2025“.
Benedikt Valsson, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir and Fannar Sveinsso hosted the shows.

The Songs

6 artists performed tonight in the following running order:

  1. Ágúst –  Like You (English version)
  2. Bjarni Arason – Aðeins lengur (Icelandic version)
  3. Júlí & Dísa – Eldur / Fire (Iceland and English version combined)
  4. VÆB – RÓA (Icelandic version)
  5. Tinna –  Words (English version)
  6. Stebbi JAK –  Set Me Free (English version)

The Results

The grand final results were determined by one round, comprising a 50% jury vote (featuring 7 international members) and a 50% public vote.

  • Saba (Denmark 2024)
  • Sietse Bakker (Eurovision 2021 Executive Producer, The Netherlands)
  • Maria Sur (“Melodifestivalen” 2023, 2024 Participant, Sweden/Ukraine)
  • Damir Kedžo (Croatia 2020)
  • Ersin Parlak (Head of Press, San Marino Eurovision Delegation)
  • Peter Fenner (Eurovision Expert, UK)

The winners of the selection are VÆB with the song “RÓA

Iceland was allocated to perform in the 1st half of semi-final 1.
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland, on May 13th, 15th, and 17th, 2025.
