- 🇩🇰 Denmark: Sissal – Hallucination

- 🇫🇷 France: Louane – maman
- 🇸🇲 San Marino: Gabry Ponte – Tutta l’Italia
- 🇦🇱 Albania: Shkodra Elektronike – Zjerm
#1. 🇳🇴Norway: Kyle Alessandro – Lighter

- We have it every year: A decent pop song with a slick performance.
- As expected, the performance will feature a dance routine, supported by backing dancers.
- The song is quite radio-friendly, but as the same time a bit generic.
- That kind of song usually manages to qualify. In addition, Norway has a strong record of qualifications (2012-2015, 2017-2024), which might help.
- Overall, it is a bit generic effort, and yet radio-friendly.
- The vocals aren’t so accurate, this might damage the jury points.
- Prediction: 16-22
#2. 🇱🇺 Luxembourg: Laura Thorn – La Poupée Monte Le Son

- The staging is more than I expected!
- It started with Laura inside a fake doll’s house, while the TV shows France Gall’s performance from Eurovision 1965.
- We can see 3-dimensional objects floating on the floor and a big hand trying to relocate her in the room.
- The nostalgic atmosphere and the bit of Junior Eurovision vibes might create a wide audience potential.
- However, in some rehearsals, the vocals didn’t meet the expectations.
- The 2nd position might limit its success, and the fact that we have other French language songs in the line-up: Israel, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and France.
- Prediction: 17-22
#3. 🇪🇪 Estonia: Tommy Cash – Espresso Macchiato

- Estonia chose an “entertaining” song for Eurovision 2025, represented by Tommy Cash with a song dedicated to coffee (and not only).
- Backed by bodyguards and spaghetti dance moves, he will try to impress the voters.
- This is a clear, public-vote-friendly song.
- The vocals are the weakest aspect of the song, but it seems it doesn’t matter.
- On the other hand, the beat and the melody make it catchy.
- Such a “joke” entry usually gets considerable (and above) support from the public, but not from the jury. However, the catchiness of the song might convince some jury members.
- Therefore, it will get the majority of its points from the public.
- Prediction: 5-8
#4. 🇮🇱 Israel: Yuval Raphael – New Day Will Rise

- It is a power ballad with influences of Chanson.
- The song features 3 languages: English, French, and Hebrew. The transition between them is smooth.
- The staging elevates the song with the chandelier balcony prop.
- The song is challenging vocally, but she did well in the live show.
- I was a bit worried about the running order, but Israel did well from the 6th position last year (5th position after the Netherlands was disqualified).
- I think the political situation might prevent some jurors from ranking it high, but I believe the public might support it.
- Prediction: 3-7
#5. 🇱🇹 Lithuania: Katarsis – Tavo akys

- Lithuania will be represented by Katarsis, who will perform a rock song.
- On the one hand, the song is a bit heavy and dark. On the other hand, it is one of the only rock songs (together with Armenia) and one of the only bands (together with the UK and Latvia).
- However, Lithuania might stand out of all the ballads and pop songs.
- Lithuania might get the support of its biggest diaspora countries and nearest neighbours: the UK, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Poland, Latvia, and Estonia.
- At the same time, I fear the jury won’t go behind it much. As they usually don’t go after rock songs in foreign languages.
- Prediction: 15-20
#6. 🇪🇸 Spain: Melody – Esa Diva

- The performance serves a lot of drama, as the scene changes from one vision to another. The color palette is a mixture of red, purple and white.
- However, I am afraid the performance is too over the place.
- Melody has great vocal abilities, but sometimes she pushed too much.
- Overall, the performance is slick, but the song feels a bit dated (a kind of Jennifer Lopez song from the early 2000s).
- Prediction: 21-26
#7. 🇺🇦 Ukraine: Ziferblat – Bird of Pray

- Ukraine has decided to step into a different direction this year, with a more Indie genre.
- The genre isn’t that popular, and doesn’t bring the “folk” flavour that Ukraine usually does.
- Having saying so, the song is quite unique (in the sense that we have nothing similar to this).
- We can’t ignore that the current political climate stands with Ukraine, and for sure, it will help.
- Vocally, it isn’t as good as expected, and I found the song a bit forgettable.
- Prediction: 9-15
#8. 🇬🇧 UK: Remember Monday – What The Hell Just Happened?

- It is a mid-tempo pop song with influences from many different genres, like musical and 1980s music.
- The performance is colorful and uplifiting.
- But I felt like they were mostly communicating between themselves and not with the public.
- I believe the jury will appreciate it due to the vocal harmonies, but overall I am afraid it won’t do well.
- Prediction: 21-26
#9. 🇦🇹 Austria: JJ – Wasted Love

- It is an opera-pop song, with techno influences.
- The staging concept is interesting, but I feel like it distances the viewers from the emotional journey.
- The staging concept is quite brave, broadcast solely in black and white.
- The song is currently second in the betting odds, which is a hint at its potential.
- I believe it will do very well with the jury, but not necessarily win the jury vote. I think the public might like it, but not at the same scale.
- Prediction: Top 7 (Potential winner)
#10. 🇮🇸 Iceland: VÆB – RÓA

- The VÆB siblings will perform an Euro dance song in the Icelandic language.
- They bring a contagious energy and some questionable vocals.
- On one hand, that kind of song has its audience. However, this genre was more popular around 2005-2010.
- In my opinion, they will do better with the public, especially the young voters.
- They might be challenged by some entertaining songs in the line-up (Sweden and Estonia for example).
- Prediction: 20-26
#11. 🇱🇻 Latvia: Tautumeitas – Bur man laimi

- It is a folk song, with soft electronic elements.
- The song relies on beautiful harmonies and quite repetitive lyrics.
- It is one of the biggest surprises. The staging is one of the strongest visual experiences of the year. They appear in stunning costumes, with bold and changing lighting. The main prop is a curtain, which helps them interact with others and with the camera.
- The jury members usually don’t like folk songs in foreign languages, but on the other hand, the vocals are really good.
- With the minority of Eastern European songs, it might get more love than expected.
- Prediction: 13-18
#12. 🇳🇱The Netherlands: Claude – C’est La Vie

- It is a mid-tempo ballad, performed in French and English.
- The lyrics (in both languages) are brought in simple words (I would even say clichés).
- The song has a radio friendly quality, which might make people for this.
- However, I must admit that the performance is a bit disappointing.
- The vocals on some of the rehearsals weren’t good enough.
- The song sounds like a “decent compromise song” to vote for. So I believe it might succeed, but not aiming for the win.
- Prediction: 7-13
#13. 🇫🇮 Finland: Erika Vikman – Ich Komme

- It is a rave-Schlager pop song.
- It has a bold performance, which mainly relies on Erika’s character.
- The peak point of the performance is when she rides a huge microphone that’s burning with fireworks. The whole performance relies on her charisma.
- Currently, it is in the top 5 of the odds, and this is a big indicator of its success.
- It will receive more support from the public vote.
- Prediction: Top 6 (probably 3-6)
#14. 🇮🇹 Italy: Lucio Corsi – Volevo essere un duro

- It is a modern glam rock ballad.
- The performance is much like a live music show, with the presence of music instruemnets.
- Lucio brings its sincere artistic vision to the stage.
- Ever since 2017, Italy has been in the top 7. However, I feel like the song isn’t as competitive as required to end in this place,
- The jury and the Italian lovers might push it, but not to the top.
- Prediction: 5-10
#15. 🇵🇱Poland: Justyna Steczkowska – Gaja

- Justyna Steczkowska returns to the contest after 30 years.
- She will perform a powerful ethnic pop song, performed in Polish and English.
- The song is quite memorable, and the staging is eye-catching. The performance includes descending from the ceiling, dynamic dancing, and big vocals.
- She sets the stage on fire. I believe this effort will get some appreciation from the public. The jury might appreciate the vocals, but not sure about the overall elements.
- As always, Poland might get recognition from the Polish diaspora (UK, Lithuania, Germany and etc)
- Prediction: 14-18
#16.🇩🇪 Germany: Abor & Tynna – Baller

- It is an electro-pop song, performed in the German language.
- The performance is 3 minutes of party on stage.
- Their main prop is an 80s-style boombox stereo, with a central platform. The prop is around 3 meters in height.
- While I think it might not do that badly with the public, I am a bit worried about the jury, who usually don’t go after electronic songs.
- Prediction: 12-18
#17. 🇬🇷 Greece: Klavdia – Asteromáta

- It is a Balkan ballad performed in the Greek language.
- Klavdia is a talented singer, both vocally and both on the emotional level.
- It isn’t the only ballad in the line-up, but it is one of the strongest.
- The staging is based on rich visuals that are implemented via props (pier and rock) and multifarious LED and video effects.
- I think the jury might like it, but not sure whether it will overcome jury favorites like France and Switzerland. The public might be captivated by the song and the whole performance.
- It might enjoy the benefit of being the only Balkan song in the final.
- Prediction: 9-14
#18. 🇦🇲 Armenia: PARG – Survivor

- It is a pop-rock empowerment song, with some Ethnic elements.
- The performance is quite slick, and for some moments looks like a video clip.
- The fact that he performs shirtless and is a good-looking guy, for sure, will help it.
- The peak of the song is the part performed in Armenian.
- But overall, the song isn’t that strong and might be overshadowed by others. On the other hand, the performance is slick and memorable.
- His shirtless performance might contribute some points as well
- Prediction: 15-20
#19. 🇨🇠Switzerland: Zoë Më – Voyage

- The staging is intimate and creates a cinematic atmosphere.
- What’s special about the performance is the camera shots and the simplicity. We won’t find props or LED lights, nor dancing or additional people on stage.
- The performance is filmed on a full-frame cinema camera, like in the 1970s movies.
- She sings emotionally and precisely.
- The staging is a bit risky, and yet magical.
- I think it is one of the dark horses this year. However, it might get a high jury score and mid-low public vote.
- Prediction: 5-10
#20. 🇲🇹 Malta: Miriana Conte – Serving

- It is a modern pop song with some electronic and traditional elements.
- The performance features plenty of elements: Huge red lips prop with a disco ball inside them. Towards the end, we see bouncy Swiss balls on stage.
- Miriana starts with a yellow dress, and later remains in a sparkly red and black catsuit.
- Moreover, the performance is a bit messy, as there are too many elements in one performance. It is beyond the limit of campiness.
- On paper, it is one of the bold entries this year, but I am afraid it doesn’t meet the expectations.
- My biggest concern here is that Malta usually doesn’t do that well with the public. The song isn’t a classic jury bait, which might lower it
- Prediction: 16-20
#21. 🇵🇹Portugal: NAPA – Deslocado

- Portugal will be represented by NAPA. They will perform a soft indie rock ballad in the local language.
- While the song has a meaningful text, it seems that the whole experience remains quite flat.
- It is a kind of song that will speak more to the jury, rather than the public.
- The song is allocated after a memorable performance (Malta) and not far from 2 strong ballads: Switzerland (19) and France (24).
- Prediction: 17-24
#22. 🇩🇰 Denmark: Sissal – Hallucination

- It is a dance-pop song with electronic elements.
- The performance is based on neon light, curtain and features dancers who interact with her like ghosts.
- Sissal is a great vocalist, but I am not sure the overall reception of the song is enough.
- The staging has improved a lot since the national final, and definitely utilizes the stage in Basel.
- Prediction: 20-26
#23. 🇸🇪Sweden: KAJ – Bara bada bastu

- For the first time in many years, Sweden sends a song in the Swedish language.
- Sweden is one of the most successful countries in the contest, which tends to finish in the top 10. This year, they are also leading the betting odds to win.
- The song turns out to be one of the iconic songs of this year’s contest. They will bring a true Scandinavian party to Basel.
- The accordion and upbeat chords create a safe path to get the public support and sail through the final.
- They also got a great position in the running order: 23rd, towards the end.
- Prediction: Top 5 (Potential Winner)
#24. 🇫🇷 France: Louane – Maman

- It is an emotional ballad. Louane is alone on stage.
- The main element is a circle covered is sand in the middle of the stage. The sand drops down slowly and continuously on one side of the circle, with a spotlight on her.
- The performance is quite intimate and magical.
- I think it has huge potential to win the jury vote, but I am not sure it will top the public vote.
- If the jury boosts it considerably and the public gives it around 200 points, it can win.
- But it feels more like a solid contender for top 5
- Prediction: Top 5 (Potential Winner)
#25. 🇸🇲 San Marino: Gabry Ponte – Tutta l’Italia

- It is a fusion of traditional Italian music with dance and electronic music.
- The vocalists behind the song are anonymous, and will perform behind a mask.
- While the song has done great in the streaming platforms, I am not sure about the live performance concept.
- I fear that the masked singer might create distance between the viewers and the song.
- In addition, DJ songs usually don’t do well.
- On the other hand, it is one the songs that lift the audience in the arena.
- Italian language songs usually get a decent score.
- Currently, San Marino’s best result is 19th place in the final. May they break a record this year?
- Prediction: 18-26
#26. 🇦🇱 Albania: Shkodra Elektronike – Zjerm

- Albania will be represented by Shkodra Elektronike, who will perform an electro-folk song, full of character and style.
- For Albania, sending such a unique song can be a game changer.
- As for the performance, one of the most memorable moments in the Vogue dancing done by Beatriçe (the lead singer).
- Electro-folk songs tend to go well with the public (Ukraine 2021 for example).
- We have a minority of folk songs, so this one has a chance to do well. The overall reception of the song is delightfully positive.
- Prediction: 7-12
