“Not a Ballad”: Israel Selected its Song For Eurovision 2026

On January 20th 2026. Israel selected its artist for Eurovision 2026 via the final of “Hakohav Haba La’Euorvision 2026” (Eng: The Rising Star For Eurovision 2026).

Noam Bettan won the contest and will represent Israel in Eurovision 2026.

Earlier today, Kan revealed that the Israeli entry for Eurovision 2026 had finally been selected.

The Israeli Song For Eurovision 2026

  1. Kan revealed that around 200 songs were submitted this year.
  2. The professional committee shortlisted 40 of them for the second phase. Later on, only a few of them made the cut to the final stage.
  3. Noam Bettan recorded the songs reaching the final phase.
  4. The main committee chose the song with majority vote.
  5. The song is said to be “Not a ballad. It will combine 3 languages: Hebrew, French, and English
  6. The songwriters are: Yuval Raphael, Tslil Klifi, and Nadav Aharoni.
  7. The song will be sent to the EBU for final approval.

The Songwriters

Yuval Raphael, who is one of the songwriters, represented Israel in Eurovision 2025 with “New Day Will Rise” and ended in the 2nd place

Tslil Klifi has submitted a song for the Israeli for the 3rd time. Among her previous attempts, we can find “Marionette” (Israeli selection for Eurovision 2022)

and “Rakata” (Israeli selection, Eurovision 2020)

Nadav “Navi” Aharoni won the Israeli producer of the year in 2025.
He composed and produced several local hits for artists like Nadav Guedjת

and Noa Kirel:

The Israeli song will be revealed on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, at 20:00 CET.
The song, alongside the official music video, will premiere as part of a special show on Kan 11.
Later on, it will be available on YouTube

Israel will compete in semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2026 (May 12th, 2026).
The country is allocated to perform in the second half of the show.

Eurovision 2026 will be held in Vienna, Austria, on May 12th, 14th, and 16th, 2026.
