Italy: First 8 Finalists For “Sanremo Giovani 2023”

In parallel to “Festival Di Sanremo“, Italian broadcaster RAI has also opted for a dedicated path for young artists – “Sanremo Giovani 2023″.

For the 5th year in a row, the artistic directory is led by Amadeus

564 young artists applied for the “Sanremo Giovani 2023”: 334 male solo performers, 186 female artists and 44 bands/groups/duos. 49 artists were invited to perform in line auditions.

The 49 shortlisted artist consists of: 29 male solo performers, 14 female solo performers, and 6 groups.
At the end of the auditions, 8 artists among them qualified for the grand final of “Sanremo Giovani 2023″:

  1. bnkr44 – “Effetti speciali”
  2. Clara – “Boulevard”
  3. Grenbaud – “Mama”
  4. Jacopo Sol – “Cose che non sai”
  5. Lor3n – “Fiore d’inverno”
  6. Santi Francesi – “Occhi tristi”
  7. Tancredi – “Perle”
  8. Vale –  “Stronza”

They will be joined by 4 artists from “Sanremo Area” path (radio submissions).
Therefore, 12 artists will compete in the final of “Sanremo Giovani 2023″, where the top 3 will get a golden ticket for “Sanremo 2024″.
The grand final will be held on the 19th of December 2023.

In 2019, Mahmood made it all the way from “Sanremo Giovani 2018” to the “Festival Di Sanremo 2019″, where he was crowned as the winner.
Therefore, he represented Italy with the song “Soldi” and ended up in 2nd place in the final:

Marco Mengoni represented Italy at Eurovision 2023 with the song “Due Vite“.
He ended up in 4th place with a total of 350 points.

Who would you like to see representing Italy at Eurovision 2024?
Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden.
The semi-finals will be held on the 7th and 9th of May 2024, and the grand final will be held on the 11th of May 2024
