“The Looker 2024”: Eurovision Wish List – Chapter 1 (Austria, Germany, Switzerland)

Welcome to our series of posts – “The Looker” where we will share our wish list of artists to participate in Eurovision.
You can easily reach all former posts here


This is the 4th year in a row that we are running the project.
But before we start, let us remark that our recommendations will not necessarily come true (as for example some countries select their artists by reality shows)

The first post will focus on 3 countries: Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

#1. Anna-Sophie Heibl

Anna-Sophie Heibl is a 23 year-old Austrian singer, who started her career in 2020.
She has released several singles, some of which topped the local charts.
Being one of the hottest names in the Austrian pop industry, it is time for her to compete in Eurovision:

#2. Matthias Nebel

Matthias Nebel became known due to his participation in “The Voice of Germany“.
The Austrian singer-songwriter then turned to pursue his career.
Currently, his music is more towards the house and electronics genres.
As a versatile artist, writing his own songs, we can trust Matthias to lead Austria honorably.

In 2022, he released the song “Back to You”:

#1. Schmyt

Julian Paul Schmit is a German singer-songwriter.
He started his way as the lead singer of Hip-Hop rock band Rakede.
In 2020, he moved on to a solo career, and released his debut album in 2022.
Schmyt manages to combine emotional topics with electronic elements, and with this generates an appeal with a wide audience.

#2. VANÈS

VANÈS is a German singer-songwriter and music producer.
She creates alt pop music with some mainstream and underground elements.
VANÈS made her debut in 2021.
Her angelic voice, combined with sharp music production and ability to perform put her is a high priority to claim the stage for Germany

#1. Dana Burkhard

Dana is a Swiss singer-songwriter.
She has released 2 EPs in 2016 and 2019.
In 2022, she released her debut album “Future Daughters”.
Even since than, her songs have been extensively played in the radio, and she went on a tour.
Dana is well known for creating music with meaningful and painful lyrics.
I believe she can pave the path of additional success for Switzerland.

#2. Nuit Incolore

Nuit Incolore (real name: Théo Marclay) is a 23 Swiss singer and composer, born in Vietnam.
He was adopted by a Swiss couple at the age of 5 months.
Nuit Incolore mainly performed in French language.
He started release his music in 2020, with several EPs and 2 released albums (in 2020 and 2023).
He was got several awards so far.
Nuit Incolore can take Switzerland to the classic place with some modern interpretations. It is a genre that we need and should get at Eurovision
