Maria Pissaride Will Represent Cyprus in Its Junior Eurovision Comeback

Surprising news came from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus!
The country will make a comeback to the Junior Eurovision Contest.
In addition, the country has already chosen its entrant for the contest: Maria Pissaride

Maria’s selection was made after the evaluation of a proposal by production company Chandal Entertainment Ltd to RIC.

About Maria Pissaride

Maria Pissaride is a 11 year-old Cypriot singer.
Currently, she is a full-time student at a performing arts school in the United Kingdom.
Maria has also passion to dancing.
Her repertoire includes starring at show like a local version of “Matilda”.
in 2023, she finished in the 3rd place at the European Radio 2023 songwriting and singing competition.
Her hobbies include spending time with her 2 brothers, drawing, singing, playing with her dog and more.
Her song for JESC 2024 was chosen internally.

Cyprus in Junior Eurovision Song Contest

To date, the country has participated 9 times in JESC.
Their highest score is 8th place, which was achieved in 2004 and 2006.
The country debuted in the first edition of the contest and has even hosted Junior Eurovision 2008

The 22nd edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organized by the EBU, will take place in Madrid. Spain on 16 November 2024.
So far, 15 countries have confirmed their participation in the contest:
