During a press conference made in the Swiss embassy in Germany, the country announced its plans for Eurovision 2025.
German TV producer Stefan Raab (who represented Germany in Eurovision 2000) will lead the selection process together with the German broadcasters ARD and RTL.
The selection process is “Chefsache ESC 2025 – Who sings for Germany”

- Submissions will close on the 28th of November 2024, and artists can apply here. Artists can also submit a cover (with the song to be found later on)
- The selection will feature 4 live-shows
- The final will take place on Saturday, the 1st of March 2025 at 20:15 local time.
- 24 acts will make it through to the live shows.
- The first 2 shows are the heats. 12 artists will compete in each heat
- 7 artists will qualify from each heat.
- 14 artists will compete in the semi-final (the 3rd show), 9 of them will make it to the final.
- The results of the first 3 shows will be decided by the jury votes
- The results of the final will be based on the public vote
- Beloved Barbara Schöneberger will host the shows

Isaak represented Germany at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Always On Thr Run”.
He finished in 12th place:
